Many organizations set aside continuing education and leadership development budgets for verified, accredited training. Because this program is CPD accredited, it fits that budget. Ask your manager or HR team whether your continuing education benefit covers the certification.
CPD Frequently Asked Questions
What does CPD accredited mean?
+
It means the program has been independently reviewed by the CPD Standards Office and meets recognized standards for continuing professional development. Learning hours are verified, structured, and documented.
How many CPD hours is the certification worth?
+
12 CPD hours. One CPD hour equals one full hour of instruction or learning, not counting breaks.
What do I receive when I finish?
+
A CPD Standards Office Certificate and a CPD Learning Tool documenting your 12 CPD hours. Certificates are issued only to learners who complete the entire program.
Will this count toward my SHRM, HRCI, ATD, ICF, ACMP, or PMI credential?
+
In many cases, yes, through self-reporting. Each body accepts relevant continuing education from providers outside its own approved-provider list, as long as the content fits its requirements. See the table above, and confirm with your credentialing body.
Is this a tools or prompting course?
+
No. This is leadership. The Distributed Intelligence™ Change Management Certification, AI Fluency: Leading AI with Human Intelligence, teaches you to lead people with human intelligence while directing artificial intelligence and automated intelligence in the same team.
Can my company pay for it?
+
Yes. Because the program is CPD accredited, it often qualifies for employer continuing education or professional development budgets. Organizational pricing is available for teams of 5 to 200+.
Who is it for?
+
Managers, team leaders, senior leaders, executives, HR, L&D, and OD professionals, coaches, consultants, and any professional leading or working alongside AI.

Frequently asked questions
Will AI take my job?
+
AI is changing tasks in almost every job. You're not losing your job to AI. You're losing it to someone who knows AI better than you. Start with the free AI Foundations Self Check and see where you stand.
Where do I start with AI?
+
Start with the free AI Foundations Self Check. It shows where you are with AI today and your next step. Then start with one real task from your own life or work, not with a tool.
What is AI? How does it work?
+
AI is technology that learns patterns from huge amounts of information and uses them to write, answer questions, and create. Chatbots like ChatGPT and Claude predict the most likely next words. That's why they can sound right and still be wrong, and why you stay the one who checks the work.
Which AI should I use, ChatGPT or Claude?
+
Start with the one you'll actually use. ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini all write, summarize, and answer questions, and each has different strengths. The right choice depends on the task.
Am I too old to learn AI?
+
No. You talk to AI in plain language, and your experience is your advantage. You know what good work looks like, and that judgment is exactly what AI needs from you.
How do I write a good prompt?
+
Tell AI who it's working for, what you need, and what a good result looks like. Give it context, an example, and the format you want. Then question what comes back and ask again. A good prompt is a conversation, not a single command.
Do I need to know how to code to use AI?
+
No. You use AI in plain language, the same way you'd explain a task to a person. If you can send a text message, you can start using AI today.
Can I trust AI with my health questions? Should I ask ChatGPT about my symptoms?
+
Use AI to prepare, not to diagnose. It can explain medical terms, organize your symptoms, and draft questions for your doctor. It can also be wrong while sounding certain. Take what it gives you to a medical professional.
Is ChatGPT safe for kids?
+
Not on its own. ChatGPT is built for users 13 and older, with a parent's permission required under 18. Safety comes from the rules you set, the settings you turn on, and the conversations you keep having with your child.
Should my child use AI for homework?
+
Yes, to learn, not to finish. AI can explain a concept, quiz your child, or check their reasoning. When it writes the answer, your child skips the thinking the homework is there to build. Set the line together: AI explains, your child does the work.
Is using AI for homework cheating?
+
It depends on the school's rules and how it's used. Turning in AI's work as your own is cheating. Using AI to understand the material usually isn't. Start with your school's AI policy, then agree on what's allowed at home.
Is my child relying on AI too much?
+
Watch for the signs: your child can't explain their own homework, reaches for AI before trying, or turns to it instead of people. That's your cue to reset the rules, not ban the tool.
What rules should we set at home for AI?
+
Decide together which apps are allowed, what AI can be used for, where devices stay at night, and what never goes into a chatbot, like full names, addresses, and photos. Write it down, post it, and revisit it as the tools change.
How do I get my employees to actually use AI?
+
Start with their work, not the tool. Show each team where AI takes the repetitive parts off their plate, let them practice on real tasks, and make it safe to experiment and ask questions. People use what they understand and trust.
Why is our AI rollout failing? Why aren't we getting value from AI?
+
Most rollouts stall because of people, not technology. The tools arrive, but no one changes how the work gets done, who owns it, or what good looks like. Value shows up when leaders redesign the work and lead their people through the change.
How do I measure AI ROI?
+
Pick the work first, then measure before and after: time saved, quality, errors, cost, and how many people actually use it. Usage comes first. AI can't return value on work your people aren't doing with it.
Who should own AI in our company?
+
One named leader with the authority to decide how people and AI work together across the business. Not IT alone, and not everyone at once. Without a clear owner, AI becomes scattered experiments with no accountability.
What should an AI policy include? Do we need an AI policy?
+
Yes. Your people are likely already using AI. A policy covers which tools are approved, what data never goes in, where a person must review the output, how to disclose AI use, and who to ask. Keep it short enough that people read it.
How do I train my team on AI?
+
Train on their real work, in small groups, with practice, not a one-time demo. Start with leaders so they can model it, then roll out by team. The AI Leadership Lab is hands-on, and the certification builds the leadership to sustain it.
How much does AI training cost?
+
Workshops run $150 to $500 per person. The Distributed Intelligence™ Change Management Certification is $3,500 per person. Team training, one-on-one consulting, and assessments are priced by scope. Book an AI Readiness Consult and we'll map the right fit.
How do I lead AI change without losing my people?
+
The technology changes overnight. People don't. Lead the change before the tools: decide what stays human, what goes to people, and what goes to AI, and bring your people into those decisions. That's the leadership the Distributed Intelligence™ Change Management Certification builds.
What is the Distributed Intelligence™ Change Management Certification?
+
The Distributed Intelligence™ Change Management Certification, AI Fluency: Leading AI with Human Intelligence, is a 12-CPD-hour accredited leadership program, independently accredited by the CPD Standards Office. It is not a tools class. It is not a prompts class. It is leadership.
Is the certification accredited?
+
Yes. It is independently accredited by the CPD Standards Office, Provider No. 51045, for 12 CPD hours. Learners who complete the full program receive a CPD Standards Office Certificate and CPD Learning Tool.
Who should take the certification?
+
Managers and team leaders, mid-level and senior leaders, and senior executives. Anyone who carries responsibility for teams where people and AI share the work.
Does the certification teach AI tools?
+
No. It certifies the leadership capability to direct AI tools, and the framework to sustain that capability as the tools keep changing.
What's the difference between the AI Leadership Lab and the certification?
+
The AI Leadership Lab is a hands-on session for leaders and professionals who want AI fluency they can use right away. The certification is the 12-hour flagship program, accredited for 12 CPD hours.
The future is superintelligence: human intelligence leading artificial intelligence and automated intelligence, balanced by Distributed Intelligence™.
